Imagine it. Build it.
See it come to life.

There’s a lot you can make when you’ve got an idea and the right tools.

But if 3D design has ever felt too complex or you’ve tried and hit a wall, this session is built to make that process easier.

We’ll use generative AI, but not the kind where you just drop a prompt and call it a day.

You’ll follow a simple, tested workflow we’ve used ourselves to move from idea to 3D model to print-ready design.

All with free, accessible tools you can keep using long after the workshop ends.

By the end of the session, you’ll have turned your idea into something real that you can hold, share, or even gift—just in time for the holidays.

The Creative Journey

1

Design thinking fundamentals

Before you jump into any software, you’ll spend some time planning your idea—what it is, what it does, and who it’s for. The challenge is to create something functional, not just something that looks nice on screen.

2

Text-to-image AI generation

Here’s where your idea starts taking shape. You’ll use generative AI tools to turn written prompts into concept images that visualize what’s in your head. It’s the first time you’ll see your idea come to life on screen.

3

Image-to-3D mesh conversion

Next, you’ll take those concept images and convert them into 3D models. This step bridges imagination and reality—transforming something flat into a digital object that can exist in three dimensions.

4

Blender basics

You’ll refine and personalize your 3D model using Blender, a professional-grade (but free) design tool. This is where proportions, scale, and details get adjusted to make your design ready for printing.

5

3D printing prep

Finally, you’ll prepare your finished model for printing. You’ll learn how to optimize and export files to turn your design into a real, physical object.
